Getting Started

OnSciCalc is a free online scientific calculator that works entirely in your browser. No downloads, no sign-ups — just open the page and start calculating. Type expressions using your keyboard or click the on-screen buttons. Press Enter to evaluate and Escape to clear.

Precedence Rules

OnSciCalc evaluates operations strictly in mathematical sequence:

1. Parentheses ( ... )

2. Exponents x^y

3. Trig / Log Functions sin, cos, tan, log, ln

4. Multiply / Divide *, /

5. Add / Subtract +, -

Trig Functions

Angles measured in radians or degrees. cos(pi) in RAD is -1.

💡 Toggle the 2nd button for shifted functions: sin⁻¹/cos⁻¹/tan⁻¹ (inverse trig), ∛ (cube root), x³ (cube), eˣ (exponential), 10ˣ (power of 10).

Exponentification

Multiply a number by itself. 5^2 evaluates to 25.

Log / Natural Log

ln stands for natural log (base e). ln(e) evaluates to 1.

Factorial (n!)

Multiplies all positive integers down to 1. 4! evaluates to 24.

Keyboard Support:

Type standard digits, operators (+, -, *, /), parentheses, or exponents (^). Hit Enter for equals, and Esc to clear. Press Shift+S/C/T for inverse trig functions.
